New hotel will be located at 65th & Q Street, Sacramento
Sacramento, CA – Today Jackson Properties, Inc. and local officials joined together with Sacramento Regional Transit and their honored guests to officially break ground on the Hampton Inn & Suites hotel project at 65th Street in Sacramento, California.
The Groundbreaking Ceremony included remarks from Sacramento City Councilmember Jeff Harris, Tim Powell with Hilton Worldwide, Michael Wiley with Sacramento Regional Transit and John Jackson, Jr. with Jackson Properties, Inc.
“This project is representative of the continuing urbanization of the Highway 50/65th Street corridor and the evolution within the corridor to higher density employment, retail and residential development” said John Jackson, Jr. He added “The location of this hotel within the growing footprint of California State University, Sacramento and also at an important Regional Transit Light Rail Hub makes it convenient and desirable.” Michael Wiley of Sacramento’s Regional Transit indicated this project represents the first Hotel to be located at a Light Rail Station in the Region, only fifteen minutes by Rail to Downtown.
The project will provide 116 hotel rooms and will serve Sacramento State, the downtown Sacramento core, nearby employers and medical campuses. The hotel will also have meeting space, a fitness center and dining room serving breakfast.
