Dramatic Suspended Art Sculpture and Fountain Installation at
333 University Avenue, Sacramento

Sacramento, CA – In 2014 Jackson Properties, Inc. acquired University Office Park, a prominent 15 acre, 130,000 SF office development located at Howe Avenue and Fair Oaks Boulevard. As part of a major renovation of the project Jackson decided to commission a dramatic sculpture as the centerpiece of’ the main lobby area of 333 University Avenue (formerly 7 777 Campus Commons Drive).

When Sacramento based artist and author Stephanie Taylor found out that her “Drop by Drop” sculpture concept was chosen as the major art installation for the office building she was elated. Then she realized she had her work cut out for her. Drop by Drop was going to be a major undertaking – many months in the making. Stephanie refers to it as “over 5,500 individually handcrafted ceramic sculptures all strung together to create a much larger statement“.

The months of production have finally paid off as the piece is slated to be installed over two days starting Monday, March 21, 2016.

The installation coincides with the completion of major renovations to the building and lobby including a unique stairway fountain meant to mimic the effect of the ceramic drops cascading from the sky. John Jackson, Jr., President of Jackson Properties says that “Stephanie’s falling water sculpture will transform the lobby into a gallery of art.”

333 University Avenue will be open to the public for those interested in viewing the installation and completed work.
